We are ORETO (Official Recognition of Efficacy Testing Facilities or Organisations in the UK) certificated for GEP (Good Experimental Practice) studies for Plant Protection Product registration, and GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) certified for efficacy and ecotoxicology studies.
The company was established in 1989 in Bristol University, UK, by Professor Peter Langley, originally as a tse-tse fly research laboratory. When he moved to Cardiff University in Wales, UK, he brought the company with him, at this point fully owned by Cardiff University.
In 1992, the company became incorporated as a limited company in Cardiff.
In 2000, some of the then Directors took the company out of the University in a spin out, reducing the university shareholding to 11%.
In 2001, the company moved to its current headquarter facilities in Cardiff, Wales, UK.
In 2005, the branch office in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, UK, is opened, to serve as the main facility for the crop and turf business.
In 2007, the branch office in Ceske Budejovice, Czech Republic, is launched, primarily offering ant and bed bug field studies.
In 2010, the branch office in Girona, Spain, is opened, to offer cockroach and ant field testing in Southern Europe.
In 2012, with the acquisition of ICR, Inc. (established in 1946), in Baltimore, USA, the first US office was launched, as the main laboratory facility in the USA and the base of the regulatory network
In 2013, our European regulatory capability is launched through our consultant network.
In 2014, the Florida, USA, satellite field station is opened.
In 2015, our worldwide network broadens with collaborators in Europe, USA, China, Australia and Brazil.
